August Livestream Class Series
Release, Stabilize, and Strengthen
Mondays: Roll, Stabilize, and Restore! | 9:30 am to 10:15 am PDT
Get all of the benefits of massage and stability training in this 45-minute class that uses a combination of foam rolling and stability techniques to reduce muscle tension, enhance proprioception/body awareness, improve joint stability, mobility/flexibility, and control.
Expect to tap into all of the tiny postural muscles that you never knew (or forgot) you had and finish class feeling both relaxed and strong.
While every class will include techniques for the upper AND lower body, each week will have a different focus:
August 3rd: Hips and lower back
August 10th: Upper back, neck, and shoulders
August 17th: Hips, knees, ankles, and feet
August 24th: Shoulders, elbows, and wrists
Wednesdays: Pilates Functional Training Fusion | 9:30 am to 10:15 am PDT
This Pilates meets functional movement class will help you lay the groundwork for strength by intelligently challenging your stability and creating opportunities for newfound mobility and ease of movement.
Expect to tap into your deep stabilizers while saying hello to your larger muscle groups by moving with precision and control. This class will also include the creative use of small props and elements of stretch and strength!
While every class will include techniques for the upper AND lower body, each week will have a different focus:
August 5th: Arms, booty, and back
August 12th: All about the abs + midline
August 19th: Rotation/Crossbody patterning
August 26th: Shoulders and side body
Fridays: Foundational Strength | 9:30 am to 10:20 am PDT
Whether you are new to strength training for the first time, are easing back in, or want a simple + effective strength training class, this is for you!
This class will start with a primal movement inspired warm-up and will include exercises to build full-body strength. There will be a 5 to 10-minute cardio finisher at the end of each class with low impact options!
Each class will be a full body workout with lots of options and will build upon the previous week:
August 7th: Squats, deadlifts, presses, core, and rows!
August 14th: Single side work + overhead pressing and pulling.
August 21st: Lunges, 3D shoulder + hip work, and standing balance
August 28th: Creative variations of the exercises from previous weeks

:: Beginners welcome. Expect lots of options and if you need more, let me know and I'll address it in future classes.
:: Crowdcast is used for live streaming. I will not be able to see you during class. However, you can interact with me via a chat box that I will check at the beginning and end of class and I will be available to answer questions via email and in the private FB group.
:: Recommended Props: Mat | 36 inch foam roller | 2 pound hand weights OR soup cans | Large bath towel | Theraband | Jumpstretch bands (medium recommended or you can buy a series of different levels of resistance) | 1 set of medium dumbbells OR kettlebells

About Me:
Hey, I'm Nikki. I'm a Pilates teacher and certified functional strength coach with over a decade of experience helping women build strength and overcome injury and I'm more than a little obsessed with helping people find effective and enjoyable ways to train.
I hold a B.S. in Exercise Science and B.S. Journalism and my fitness wisdom has been featured in Girls Gone Strong, The Seattle Times, and Men’s Fitness. I've also presented for national conferences and have been a featured educator in the Pilates community, but truthfully, I see myself as less of an expert and more of a teacher and cheerleader for my clients and I vastly prefer it that way.
