Cardio and Core LIVE Challenge
Equipment needed: Mini (Looped) Band, 5 to 6 foot theraband, 2 gliding discs/furniture slides/washcloths, 1 set of medium dumbbells that you can press overhead.
Tips for purchasing dumbbells: Right now, these are still a VERY hot and often sold out commodity online and unfortunately, I don't know what a "medium" weight is for you, because it depends on the individual. This is why there are no specific purchase links! I'm finding the best way to find them in stock and at an affordable price is to search for them on google and then click the "shopping" tab. I've also seem them on craigslist and ebay.
Level: All Levels
Directions: This 4-week challenge consists of 3 livestream workouts a week that will take place at 9:30 am PDT on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday. On your days off, you may elect to rest, stretch, or foam roll. You may also substitute some workouts with alternative workouts from the site.
Mondays: Tabata Core Fusion | A 45 minute class that consists of a 10 minute mobility warm-up, a 20 minute tabata series with low impact options to improve cardio + muscular endurance, and a 15 minutes of core work and stretching.
Wednesdays: Pilates | Each of these 45 minute Pilates inspired classes will have a difference focus to improve stability, strength, flexibility, and control!
Fridays: Glide n' Glow Express | This 30 minute interval training class uses gliders, dumbbells, and bands to improve strength, mobility, and cardiovascular endurance. As always, beginners welcome and low back options + modifications will be offered!
